There is something magical in the herbs of Lapland. In summer they grow 24/7 under the midnight sun enjoying the purest air in the world, in winter they don’t fear harsh wind and snow. In Lapland these power herbs have been traditionally used to cure many a disease. The knowledge of their effect and use runs in the family of our Product Manager Katja Misikangas. Traditional knowledge is supported by research data which shows clearly the power of arctic growing conditions. The herbs are grown by a network of local farmers or collected wild from the forest. Business Description
We are Bart and Mindy Basi, permanent residents of Champaign-Urbana and frequent visitors to our neighbor Bloomington-Normal. We live and work in this community, our son goes to high school here, our home and family are here. We reinvest in our community, supporting the University of Illinois, Champaign and Urbana Park Districts, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and a host of local schools with donations.
We pay a living wage to all our employees, donate freely of both our time and money. We still manage to have lower prices than the local supermarkets on similar products.
We shop locally and support local small businesses with the belief that keeping our money in the local community is what is best for Champaign-Urbana and Bloomington-Normal. Our business is about much more than catering trays or selling a bit of fine cheese. We run our business with principles, we enjoy talking with our customers.
