We are a small hostel located in San Andres Island, Colombia. We cater mostly for extreme sport enthusiast. We offer a very laid back environment for people to chill out, we are definitely not a party hostel, but are not opposed to the occasional party.

Pacific Tradewinds Backpacker Hostel was specifically designed for fun loving, social, international travelers who truly enjoy hosteling. If you are this type of traveler and like to make new friends, we'd love to meet you and welcome you to this unique community for international travelers. Because of our small size, guests and volunteers here really get to know each other. In the hostel, there's a lot of socializing, going out, community dinners, playing games, etc. We also frequently go out with the guests to see sights, do pub crawls and other fun stuff. See our San Francisco Hostel Events Calendar. We provide a full range of services and features to make your stay really comfortable. Our kitchen is modern and fully equipped for making real meals. The bathrooms are bright, clean and private. Beds are made of solid steel (which means no shaking or squeaking) and have backpack sized lockers underneath. Finally, the location is great. We are located just 2 blocks from the Downtown Transamerica Pyramid, one block from the Cable Cars, a few blocks from Chinatown and North Beach, and buses to everywhere are just outside our door. This hostel is primarily popular with 'off-the-beaten-path' backpackers and these are the sort of travelers we love to have. We frequently fill up early in the day, so it's best to make a reservation for at least your first night. If you are not sure when you'll be in San Francisco, give us a call when you arrive since we always try to save a few beds for spontaneous travelers.
