Business Description
Kaomoji is an online clothing store inspired by Japanese street fashion and anime culture. James and Leticia founded the company in September 2015. After discovering that our friends loved the designs (which we made jokingly at first), we decided to take it to the next level and start our own business.
Since the start of 2015 we’ve had just one goal for the brand: designing fashion to express yourself, without being afraid of showing who you are. You can’t control other people's judgments, what you can control is how you deal with it. You decide what you wear and how you feel. If you wear something that makes you happy, we are happy too.
The community of kaomoji is growing internationally, because we attend a lot of (Japanese/anime/comic) conventions throughout the year. We travel with our booth to Germany, England, France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Once a year we make a trip to Japan for inspiration and meetings.
