What is Opera Mainnet (Fantom)?
One of the newest operational blockchains, Opera, the Fantom mainnet, was launched in December 2019. It is an open-source, permissionless platform that enables staking and network control for all users.
FTM is the native token of Fantom. It is used on the network for platform fees, on-chain governance, and staking. In contrast to other blockchains, Fantom uses the Lachesis consensus, which combines the Proof-of-Stake and Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT) consensus procedures and offers a highly safe environment.
