Orphaned Block

What is Orphaned Block?

A valid block that is not included in the main blockchain is called an orphan. It is also known as a detached or stale block. Orphaned blocks may result from a number of sources. The size of a block, the length of a blockchain, and the speed of the node hosting the blockchain are important among them. Due to these reasons, the main blockchain rejects one block and accepts the other when two blocks have the same timestamp.
