A network framework called Libp2p is used to build decentralized peer-to-peer applications. It was developed by Protocol Labs and utilized in IPFS before being integrated into the network layer of a blockchain by Ethereum. Both were developed using the libp2p implementation in GoLang. Due to the project’s success and dependability, Polkadot utilized the libp2p implementation in Rust in their network layer.
