Token Migration
What is Token Migration
Token migration, also referred to as token swap, occurs when a token is moved from one blockchain to another during a switchover in the blockchain network. It is important to keep in mind that token migrations can happen when projects merely transition from one protocol to another; they are not always related to the creation of new blockchains.
One example is the migration of Mithril (MiTH) from Ethereum to Binance Chain. Token migrations take place when new companies decide to move their investors’ tokens from third-party platforms to their own chains since they lack their own blockchain or it is still in the development stage.
