Edge Nodes

What is Edge Nodes?

Edge nodes are cluster instances that link the user’s computer to the cluster’s computers. They are also referred to as edge communication nodes and gateway nodes. They let users conduct tasks that are essential to the system’s general operation on the edge node rather than the master nodes, preventing capacity losses on these nodes.

Edge nodes facilitate communication between the Hadoop cluster and the external network. Edge nodes are primarily utilized for the deployment of client apps and cluster-admin tools, ensuring a consistent user experience for all users.
