What is ERC-20?
The Ethereum blockchain’s fungible token standard, known as Ethereum Request for Comment 20 (ERC-20), provides guidelines for the development of new tokens on the Ethereum blockchain so that they may be used interchangeably with other tokens in smart contracts.
The ERC-20 standard is utilized by many well-known digital currencies. Popular examples include:
Token USD (USDT);
USD Coin (USDC);
Inu Shiba (SHIB);
USD Binance (BUSD);
