Genesis Block

The first block ever mined for a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is known as a “Genesis Block”. A blockchain is made up of several so-called blocks used to record data on transactions that take place on a blockchain network. Each block has a distinct header, and the block header hash is used to uniquely identify each such block.

The Genesis Block serves as the basis for these layers, which build up in height until the blockchain’s conclusion is reached and the sequence is finished. One of the factors that makes a blockchain-based cryptocurrency so safe is the layers and extensive history of each sequence.
