What is Ashdraked?
Ashdraked is an individual whose cryptocurrency holdings are completely lost. A Romanian programmer going by the alias “Lord Ashdrake” shorted Bitcoin (BTC) in the middle of the 2000s and lost everything. He had previously earned a fortune by shorting the cryptocurrency.
Some cryptocurrency exchanges, like the stock market, allow for margin accounts and shorting, which is borrowing assets and selling them right away in order to repurchase them at a cheaper price later and settle the loan.
