Participation Node

What is Participation Node?

Participation nodes link with one another through relay nodes using the Algorand consensus process. Each network user must stake ALGO and produce a legitimate participation key in order to become a participation node. The two-phase block formation process used by Algorand’s PPoS consensus mechanism entails proposing and voting. Relay nodes, which enable communication between them but do not participate actively in the proposing and voting procedures, coordinate participation nodes.
