Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

A technology known as radio frequency identification (RFID) uses radio waves to passively identify a tagged object or person. RFID tags, an antenna, an RFID reader, and a transceiver make up the system. RFID transmits and receives data using radio waves at a variety of frequencies. The system is actually used for things like inventory control, equipment tracking, employee tracking, and more.

RFID tags are now employed in a variety of industries, including supply chain management, anti-theft systems, the medical industry, and transportation since they have less scanning limits than standard barcodes.
