Roadmap

A roadmap is a high-level graphic overview that aids in outlining the vision and course of a certain product offering over the course of a predetermined time period. This roadmap serves as both a blueprint for carrying out the product strategy and a means of communicating the why and the what of what you are doing.

A roadmap has a number of objectives, such as articulating the vision and strategy, serving as a manual for carrying out the strategy, bringing internal stakeholders into agreement, facilitating discussion and option and scenario planning, and assisting in communication with external stakeholders, such as customers.
