What is Phone Phishing
Vishing (voice phishing), commonly referred to as phone phishing, is the practice of making phony phone calls to victims in order to demand money or private information from them. Phone phishing involves attackers pretending to be reliable organizations or parties in order to benefit themselves.
Attackers frequently called unknowing victims and offered them free vacations, charity donations, extended warranties on goods and services, antivirus software, and other benefits. They continue by requesting the victims’ credit card numbers and other financial details.
