An attack known as a “dusting attack” involves sending very small amounts of Bitcoin to a wallet in an effort to identify its owner. Afterward, information can be utilized to prevent accepting payments that are legal or to foil phishing frauds. Through an airdrop, victims receive a token transferred to their wallet.
