What is Symbol
A symbol can refer to two things:
The short name, like a stock symbol on the stock market, of a cryptocurrency’s coin or token used for trade. BTC stands for Bitcoin, and ETH for Ethereum. Visit CryptoCompare.com for a compendium of thousands of symbols.
A logo for a cryptocurrency. To promote them, cryptocurrencies are given logos.
