Shielded Transaction

A shielded transaction is basically a transaction between two protected addresses. With the exception of moving money between the Sprout and Sapling protected addresses, this will virtually keep the addresses, transaction amount, and note field private.

The inclusion of an encrypted message by senders to a shielded address is optional, and recipients of a shielded or unshielded transaction are not informed of the sender address by the transaction receipt in their wallet. Only the value transmitted to their address, and in the case of shielded addresses any encrypted message that the member has inserted, are visible to the recipients.
