Settlement Layer

What is Settlement Layer

The term “settlement layer” refers to a layer that serves as an ecosystem’s anchor. Additionally, it creates unquestionable security and objective finality in the event that something on another blockchain demands arbitration.

Currently, the “maximalist” stereotype is a recurring one in the context of the blockchain ecosystem. Maximalism is achieved via unflinching faith in the existence of a conflict between blockchains from which one will emerge as the dominant protocol and be used as the foundation for all next systems and applications. In the internet-connected world, it is now a novel idea.
