In Axie Infinity, scholarship is the practice of managers lending their free Axies to “scholars” who are new to the game and lack the resources to assemble the three NFT monster teams that are necessary to play.

The word “scholarship” was first used in the context of NFTs in the game Axie Infinity (AXS), the most popular blockchain title to date with $2.5 billion in sales.

This play2earn game has more than 1 million daily active users and works well on both desktop computers and smartphones. Its general gameplay is comparable to the well-known game Pokemon Go, which features virtual pets called Axies (not Pokemons). To obtain in-game rewards, players engage in combat with one another using these creatures.
