Storage Miners

A type of cryptocurrency mining called storage mining enables miners to get paid for keeping data on their own servers or devices. One of the key ideas behind storage mining is that in order to join the blockchain network as a node, miners must commit to a specific quantity of storage space.

Filecoin is one of the most well-known cryptocurrencies that runs on storage mining. The Filecoin blockchain uses the miners’ storage capacity to determine which nodes are qualified. These nodes then operate as block miners and transaction verifiers as new blocks are added to the chain.
